  • 3 cups cooked chicken, shredded
  • 2 tbsp butter

  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 8 oz mushrooms, sliced
  • 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream (or half-and-half)
  • ½ cup sour cream
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • ½ tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • ½ cup breadcrumbs (for topping)
  • 2 tbsp chopped parsley (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Cook the pasta according to package directions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet over medium heat, melt butter. Sauté onion and garlic until soft.
  3. Add mushrooms and cook until tender.
  4. Sprinkle flour over mushrooms and stir for one minute. Gradually whisk in chicken broth.
  5. Stir in heavy cream, sour cream, salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning; simmer for 3-5 minutes until thickened.
  6. Add shredded chicken and cooked pasta; stir gently until combined.
  7. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Transfer mixture to a greased baking dish.
  8. Top with mozzarella cheese, Parmesan cheese, and breadcrumbs.
  9. Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown and bubbly.
