  • 3 Garlic cloves (minced)
  • 3 tsp. chili powder
  • 1 ½ tsp. ground cumin
  • ¾ tsp. smoked paprika
  • ¼ tsp. cayenne pepper
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup Greek yogurt or non-dairy yogurt alternative
  • 3 tsp fresh lime juice
  • 3 chipotle chilies in adobo sauce (finely chopped)
  • 1 large garlic clove (minced)
  • 2 Tbsp. milk
  • Flour or corn taco shells
  • Angel hair slaw
  • Lime wedges
  • Grilled corn
  • Queso fresco

Instructions

  1. Marinate the tilapia filets with kosher salt, black pepper, lime zest, minced garlic, chili powder, ground cumin, smoked paprika, and cayenne for at least 15 minutes to enhance flavor.
  2. For the chipotle lime crema, blend mayonnaise, non-dairy yogurt, lime juice, chopped chipotle chilies, minced garlic, and milk until smooth; refrigerate to let flavors meld.
  3. Heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil in a skillet over medium heat and cook marinated tilapia for 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown.
