  • 2 cups fresh or frozen blueberries
  • 2 cups water (for syrup)
  • 2 tbsp honey or sugar (optional)
  • 3 bags black or green tea
  • 1 tbsp fresh lemon juice
  • 1 cup ice cubes
  • 4 slices lemon (for garnish)
  • 4 leaves fresh mint (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. In a saucepan, combine blueberries and 2 cups of water; simmer for about 10 minutes while mashing the berries to release juices.
  2. Strain the mixture through a sieve into a bowl to create blueberry syrup; set aside.
  3. Boil another 2 cups of water in a kettle; steep either black or green tea bags according to package instructions.
  4. In a large pitcher, combine blueberry syrup, brewed tea, and lemon juice; stir well.
  5. Chill in the refrigerator for at least one hour.
  6. Serve over ice in glasses garnished with lemon slices and mint leaves.
