Ingredients
Scale
8.8 oz (250 g) linguine
1 tablespoon olive oil
2 tablespoons unsalted butter
1 medium onion, finely chopped
Juice and zest of 1 lemon
4 garlic cloves, grated or minced
1/4 teaspoon red chili flakes
3.5 oz (100 g) smoked salmon, cut into pieces
Fresh parsley, chopped
Salt and black pepper to taste
Instructions
Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the linguine according to package instructions until al dente; reserve about two cups of pasta water before draining.
In a large skillet over medium heat, combine olive oil and butter until melted. Sauté onions until softened. Add garlic, lemon zest, and chili flakes; cook until fragrant.
Toss the drained linguine into the skillet with the aromatic mixture. Gradually add reserved pasta water until you achieve the desired sauce consistency.
Gently fold in smoked salmon and chopped parsley. Season with salt and black pepper to taste.
Serve immediately, garnished with extra parsley if desired.
