  • 250g tagliatelle (or fettuccine)
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 56 leaves fresh basil (or 1 tsp dried basil)
  • 2 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 100g turkey strips (cubed)
  • 500ml Italian Passata (or canned crushed tomatoes)
  • 125g fresh mozzarella (torn into chunks)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Boil a large pot of salted water and cook tagliatelle until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large frying pan, heat olive oil over medium heat. Sauté turkey strips until golden brown, about 5 minutes. Add minced garlic and sauté for another minute.
  3. Pour in the Italian Passata, add fresh basil, salt, and pepper. Simmer for about 5 minutes.
  4. Combine cooked tagliatelle with the sauce, stirring gently to coat.
  5. Add torn mozzarella and stir over low heat until melted.
  6. Serve hot, garnished with additional basil and grated Parmesan cheese if desired.
