Method
Prepare the Oven and Pan
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9-inch round cake pan.
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together the dry ingredients: flour, sugar, baking powder, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.
Mix Wet Ingredients
- In another bowl, combine the melted butter, apple cider, eggs, and vanilla extract. Whisk until well combined.
Combine Mixtures
- Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until just combined. Do not overmix.
Bake the Cake
- Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and smooth the top. Bake for 40-45 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
Cool and Serve
- Allow the cake to cool in the pan for about 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
- Once cooled, dust the top with cinnamon sugar before serving.
