Ingredients
  

Dry Ingredients
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • 1 tbsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 tsp ground nutmeg
  • 1/2 tsp salt
Wet Ingredients
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter melted
  • 1 cup apple cider
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
Topping
  • 1/4 cup cinnamon sugar for dusting

Method
 

Prepare the Oven and Pan
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9-inch round cake pan.
  2. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the dry ingredients: flour, sugar, baking powder, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.
Mix Wet Ingredients
  1. In another bowl, combine the melted butter, apple cider, eggs, and vanilla extract. Whisk until well combined.
Combine Mixtures
  1. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until just combined. Do not overmix.
Bake the Cake
  1. Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and smooth the top. Bake for 40-45 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
Cool and Serve
  1. Allow the cake to cool in the pan for about 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
  2. Once cooled, dust the top with cinnamon sugar before serving.
