  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon ground cardamom
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
Wet Ingredients
  • 3/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 3/4 cup whole milk

Method
 

Baking Steps
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease and flour a bundt or 9-inch springform pan.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together flour, cardamom, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In a large bowl, cream the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then add vanilla extract.
  5. Alternate adding the dry ingredients and milk to the butter mixture, beginning and ending with the dry ingredients.
  6. Pour batter into the prepared pan and smooth the top.
  7. Bake for 35–45 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  8. Cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.
  9. Dust with powdered sugar before serving, if desired.
