Method
 

  1. Drain the Tuna: Begin by draining the albacore tuna from its can, ensuring that excess liquid is removed so your salad doesn’t become watery.
  2. Mix the Base Ingredients: In a mixing bowl, combine the drained tuna, mayonnaise, fresh cilantro, and juice from half a lime. Stir well until everything is evenly coated, adding salt to taste.
  3. Prepare the Avocado: Peel and chop the avocado before placing it into another bowl. Squeeze lime juice over it to prevent browning, then lightly mash it with a fork while leaving some chunks for texture; season with salt as desired.
  4. Layer Your Salad: On a plate, create a base layer using half of the mashed avocado followed by half of your seasoned tuna mixture on top. Finish this layer with some fresh pico de gallo salsa.
