Ingredients
  

Pork Chops
  • 4 pieces boneless pork chops about 1 inch thick
Seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon salt to taste
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper freshly ground
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
Cooking Ingredients
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil for searing
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh thyme or 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 tablespoon butter for finishing

Method
 

Prepare the Pork Chops
  1. Pat the pork chops dry with paper towels and season both sides with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.
  2. Let the pork chops sit at room temperature for about 15 minutes.
Sear the Pork Chops
  1. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat until shimmering.
  2. Add the pork chops to the skillet and sear for 4-5 minutes on each side until golden brown and internal temperature reaches 145°F (63°C).
Make the Sauce
  1. Reduce heat to medium and add minced garlic and thyme to the skillet, cooking for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  2. Add butter and stir until melted, scraping up any brown bits from the bottom of the skillet.
Serve
  1. Remove pork chops from the skillet and let rest for 5 minutes.
  2. Serve with the garlic herb sauce drizzled on top.
