Prepare the Pork Chops
- Pat the pork chops dry with paper towels and season both sides with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.
- Let the pork chops sit at room temperature for about 15 minutes.
Sear the Pork Chops
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat until shimmering.
- Add the pork chops to the skillet and sear for 4-5 minutes on each side until golden brown and internal temperature reaches 145°F (63°C).
Make the Sauce
- Reduce heat to medium and add minced garlic and thyme to the skillet, cooking for about 1 minute until fragrant.
- Add butter and stir until melted, scraping up any brown bits from the bottom of the skillet.
Serve
- Remove pork chops from the skillet and let rest for 5 minutes.
- Serve with the garlic herb sauce drizzled on top.
