Prepare the Chicken and Avocado
- In a bowl, combine the shredded chicken, mashed avocado, lime juice, salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Mix until well combined.
- Taste and adjust seasoning if necessary.
Assemble the Sandwich
- Spread butter on one side of each slice of bread.
- On the unbuttered side, layer the chicken and avocado mixture evenly on four slices of bread.
- Top with shredded cheddar cheese and cover with the remaining slices of bread, buttered side up.
Grill the Sandwich
- Preheat the grill over medium heat.
- Place the sandwiches on the grill and cook for about 3-4 minutes on each side, or until the bread is golden brown and the cheese is melted.
- Remove from the grill and let cool for a minute before slicing in half.
