Ingredients
  

Burger Patties
  • 1 pound ground beef 80/20 blend for best flavor
  • 1 teaspoon salt to taste
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
Secret Sauce
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons ketchup
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
Burger Assembly
  • 4 pieces burger buns toasted
  • 4 slices cheddar cheese optional
  • 1 cup lettuce shredded
  • 1 tomato sliced
  • 1/2 onion sliced

Method
 

Prepare the Patties
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine ground beef, salt, black pepper, and garlic powder. Mix gently until just combined.
  2. Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and shape them into patties.
Make the Secret Sauce
  1. In a small bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, ketchup, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, and smoked paprika until smooth.
Grill the Burgers
  1. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat. Grill the patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they reach an internal temperature of 160°F (71°C).
  2. If using cheese, place a slice on each patty during the last minute of cooking to melt.
Assemble the Burgers
  1. Spread the secret sauce on the bottom half of each toasted bun.
  2. Place the grilled patty on top, followed by lettuce, tomato, onion, and the top half of the bun.
