Preparation
- In a large bowl, combine ground beef, ground pork, breadcrumbs, grated onion, egg, allspice, nutmeg, salt, and pepper. Mix until just combined.
- Form into 1-inch meatballs (about 28 meatballs).
Cooking
- Heat a large skillet over medium heat with a bit of oil or butter. Brown meatballs in batches, turning to sear all sides. Remove and set aside.
- In the same pan, melt butter and whisk in flour. Cook 1–2 minutes until golden.
- Gradually whisk in beef broth, followed by heavy cream. Stir in Dijon mustard and Worcestershire sauce. Simmer until thickened, about 5 minutes.
- Return meatballs to the skillet. Simmer in sauce for 10–12 minutes until fully cooked through.
- Serve hot over mashed potatoes, noodles, or rice, garnished with parsley if desired.
