Ingredients

  • 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts Use fresh chicken for the best flavor.
  • 2 cups chicken broth This adds depth to the dish and keeps everything moist.
  • 1 cup heavy cream For that rich, creamy texture we all love.
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese The key ingredient that gives this dish its savory flavor.
  • 2 cups cheese tortellini These little pillows of goodness are perfect for soaking up the sauce.
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced Fresh garlic elevates the entire dish with its aromatic flavor.
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning A blend of herbs that complements the other ingredients perfectly.
  • Salt and pepper to taste, essential seasonings to enhance all the flavors in the dish.
  • Fresh parsley for garnish, adds a pop of color and freshness when serving.

Method

  1. Start by placing the boneless, skinless chicken breasts directly in your crockpot. Season them generously with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning for added flavor.
  2. Pour in the chicken broth alongside minced garlic to infuse even more taste into your cooking liquid.
  3. Cover your crockpot and set it on low heat for 6-7 hours or until the chicken is cooked through and tender.
  4. Once cooked, carefully remove the chicken from the crockpot using tongs or a slotted spoon. Use two forks to shred it into bite-sized pieces before returning it back into the pot.
  5. Stir in heavy cream and grated Parmesan cheese until well combined.
  6. Finally, add cheese tortellini to the crockpot and cook on high for an additional 30 minutes or until they are tender.
