  • 170 g bittersweet chocolate
  • 113 g unsalted butter
Batter
  • 100 g granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 large egg yolks
  • 30 g all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • non-stick spray or butter and cocoa powder for molds

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C) and grease skull molds with non-stick spray or butter and cocoa powder.
  2. Melt chocolate and butter together in a heatproof bowl over simmering water until smooth. Let cool slightly.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk eggs, yolks, sugar, and vanilla extract until thick and pale, about 2-3 minutes.
  4. Gently fold the chocolate mixture into the egg mixture.
  5. Sift in the flour and salt, folding just until combined.
  6. Fill each mold 3/4 full with the batter.
  7. Bake for 11-13 minutes until edges are set and centers are slightly jiggly.
  8. Cool for 1-2 minutes, invert carefully onto plates, and serve immediately.
