- In a small saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter until it foams and turns golden brown, then remove from heat.
- Stir in the maple syrup until fully combined with the brown butter.
- Heat the milk in a separate saucepan until warm but not boiling, then froth until foamy.
- Brew the espresso or strong coffee and pour into your favorite mug.
- Mix the maple brown butter mixture into the espresso.
- Top with the frothed milk and optionally drizzle more maple syrup or sprinkle cinnamon on top.
