Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 0.5 cup cocoa powder
  • 0.75 cup brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 0.25 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup unsweetened almond milk
  • 0.5 cup melted coconut oil
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 0.5 cup dairy-free chocolate chips

Method
 

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line an 8×8-inch baking pan with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, sift together flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt. Stir in the brown sugar.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together almond milk, melted coconut oil, and vanilla extract.
  4. Combine wet and dry ingredients until just mixed. Fold in chocolate chips if using.
  5. Pour batter into the prepared pan and spread evenly.
  6. Bake for 25–30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out with a few moist crumbs.
  7. Let cool for at least 15 minutes before slicing and serving.
