  • 3/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large egg yolks
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup eggnog
  • 1 cup powdered sugar (for glaze)
  • 2 tablespoons eggnog (for glaze)

Method
 

Baking Instructions
  1. In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, nutmeg, and salt.
  2. In a large bowl, beat the butter and sugar together until fluffy.
  3. Add egg yolks, vanilla, and eggnog. Mix until smooth.
  4. Gradually add dry ingredients to the wet mixture to form a dough.
  5. Chill the dough in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.
  6. Preheat oven to 350°F (177°C). Line baking sheet with parchment paper.
  7. Scoop dough into tablespoon-sized balls, placing them 2 inches apart.
  8. Bake for 10–12 minutes or until edges are set but centers are soft.
  9. Let cookies cool on the sheet for 5 minutes, then transfer to a rack.
  10. Mix powdered sugar and eggnog to make the glaze.
  11. Drizzle over cooled cookies and let set before serving.
