Prepare the Marinade
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together miso paste, soy sauce, honey, minced garlic, sesame oil, and rice vinegar until smooth.
- Reserve 1/4 cup of the marinade for later use.
Marinate the Chicken
- Add the chicken thighs to the bowl with the remaining marinade, ensuring they are well coated.
- Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, or up to 2 hours for more flavor.
Cook the Chicken
- Heat a skillet over medium heat and add the marinated chicken, cooking for about 6-7 minutes on each side, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).
- Brush the chicken with the reserved marinade during the last few minutes of cooking.
Serve
- Remove the chicken from the skillet and let it rest for a few minutes.
- Slice the chicken and serve garnished with green onions and toasted sesame seeds.
