Ingredients
  

Beef and Broccoli
  • 1 lb ground beef preferably lean
  • 4 cups broccoli florets fresh or frozen
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil for cooking
  • 1 teaspoon salt to taste
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper to taste
Honey Garlic Sauce
  • 1/4 cup honey for sweetness
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce low sodium preferred
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch for thickening
  • 2 tablespoons water to mix with cornstarch

Method
 

Prepare the Sauce
  1. In a small bowl, mix honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, cornstarch, and water until smooth.
  2. Set the sauce mixture aside.
Cook the Beef
  1. Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Add ground beef, salt, and pepper. Cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes, breaking it apart with a spatula.
Add Broccoli
  1. Add broccoli florets to the skillet and stir-fry for about 3-4 minutes until they are bright green and tender-crisp.
Combine and Serve
  1. Pour the honey garlic sauce over the beef and broccoli, stirring to coat evenly. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens.
  2. Serve hot over rice or noodles if desired.

Notes
