Ingredients
  

Marinade
  • 1 lb chicken thighs
  • 3 tbsp gochujang divided
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce divided
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp grated ginger
  • 1 tbsp honey
Glaze
  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar
Buns & Vegetables
  • 1/2 cup cornstarch
  • 10 pieces bao buns
  • 1/2 cup cucumber, julienned
  • 1/2 cup carrot, julienned
  • 1 tsp sesame seeds
  • 2 pieces green onions, sliced

Method
 

Cooking Process
  1. Marinate chicken thighs with 1 tbsp gochujang, 1 tbsp soy sauce, garlic, ginger, and honey. Let sit for at least 30 minutes.
  2. Combine remaining gochujang, soy sauce, honey, and rice vinegar in a saucepan. Simmer to make a glaze.
  3. Toss marinated chicken in cornstarch and fry until golden and crispy.
  4. Steam bao buns according to package directions until fluffy.
  5. Assemble bao buns with chicken, drizzle with glaze, and top with cucumber, carrot, sesame seeds, and green onions.
