Ingredients

  • 2 oz white grape juice Use a good quality juice for the best flavor.
  • 1 oz freshly squeezed lemon juice About 1 medium lemon will suffice.
  • 1 oz lavender simple syrup Follow the instructions below to make your own.
  • 1/2 oz triple sec Feel free to substitute any orange liqueur you prefer.
  • 1 cup water Essential ingredient for making lavender simple syrup.
  • 1 cup sugar Combined with water to create your syrup base.
  • 1 tbsp dried culinary lavender The star ingredient that gives this drink its unique flavor.
  • Ice Enough to fill the shaker halfway ensures proper chilling.
  • Granulated sugar For rimming the glass, adding sweetness and texture.
  • Fresh lavender sprig or lemon twist A beautiful garnish that enhances aroma and presentation.

Method

  1. In a small saucepan, combine 1 cup of water, 1 cup of sugar, and 1 tablespoon of dried lavender. Heat over medium heat until the sugar dissolves completely, stirring occasionally.
  2. Remove the saucepan from heat and let it steep for about 15 minutes. This allows the lavender flavor to infuse into the syrup properly.
  3. Strain the mixture into a container to remove the dried lavender pieces and let it cool completely before using in your cocktail.
  4. Rub a lemon wedge around the rim of a chilled martini glass, then dip it into granulated sugar on a plate to create a sweet coating.
  5. In a cocktail shaker, add 2 oz white grape juice, 1 oz freshly squeezed lemon juice, 1 oz lavender simple syrup, and 1/2 oz triple sec. Fill the shaker halfway with ice.
  6. Shake vigorously for 20-30 seconds until well mixed and chilled. Use a cocktail strainer to pour into your prepared martini glass and garnish with a fresh lavender sprig or lemon twist before serving immediately. Enjoy!
