Method
 

  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add sliced chicken sausage and cook, stirring occasionally, until browned for about 5 to 7 minutes.
  2. Introduce minced garlic into the skillet and sauté for about 1 minute until aromatic.
  3. Stir in broccoli florets and cook for 2 to 3 minutes, allowing them to begin softening slightly.
  4. Add orzo, chicken broth, Italian seasoning, salt, and black pepper into the skillet. Bring this mixture to a boil then reduce heat and let it simmer gently.
  5. Cover the skillet and cook for 10 to 12 minutes while stirring occasionally until orzo is tender and most of the liquid is absorbed.
  6. Remove from heat and stir in grated Parmesan cheese until fully melted and well incorporated into the mixture.
  7. Portion hot orzo skillet onto plates and garnish with chopped fresh parsley before serving.
