- Cut the sirloin steak into bite-sized cubes and pat them dry.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Add steak bites in a single layer and sear for 2-3 minutes per side until browned. Remove and set aside.
- Reduce heat to medium, then add butter and garlic to the same skillet. Sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Stir in soy sauce, brown sugar, and red pepper flakes. Simmer for 3-5 minutes to slightly thicken.
- Optional: Add cornstarch slurry to thicken the sauce further.
- Return steak bites to the skillet and toss to coat in the sauce. Cook for 2-3 more minutes.
