Ingredients
  

Brownie Base
  • 2 cups Medjool dates, pitted Soaked in warm water
  • 1 cup raw walnuts Finely chopped
  • 1 cup raw almonds Finely chopped
  • 1/2 cup raw cacao powder
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon sea salt
Optional Toppings
  • cacao nibs
  • shredded coconut
  • chopped nuts

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Soak the Medjool dates in warm water for 10 minutes to soften, then drain.
  2. Add walnuts and almonds to a food processor and pulse until finely chopped.
  3. Add dates, cacao powder, vanilla, and salt. Process until the mixture is sticky and forms a dough.
  4. Press the mixture firmly into a parchment-lined pan.
  5. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour.
  6. Slice into squares and serve.
