Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups Medjool dates, pitted soaked in warm water for 10 minutes
  • 1 cup raw walnuts
  • 1 cup raw almonds
  • 1/2 cup raw cacao powder
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon sea salt
  • Optional toppings: cacao nibs, shredded coconut, chopped nuts for added flavor and texture

Method
 

  1. Soak the Medjool dates in warm water for 10 minutes to soften, then drain.
  2. Add walnuts and almonds to a food processor and pulse until finely chopped.
  3. Add dates, cacao powder, vanilla, and salt. Process until mixture is sticky and forms a dough.
  4. Press mixture firmly into a parchment-lined pan.
  5. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour.
  6. Slice into squares and serve.
